Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church began in 1985 with eight people and a vision to share the Gospel with the Chain of Lakes Region in northeastern Illinois. After outgrowing two facilities in five years, we began construction in 1990 on our permanent location at 43 W. Grass Lake Road, Lake Villa, IL. Our Pastor, Kerry Bauman, began his service with CLCBC in 1998 as the Director of Youth Ministries. In 2003, he was called to be the Senior Pastor. Under his leadership, we are now home to over 1000 attendees, with an average attendance of 600 each Sunday. Our focus still remains - to share the gospel with the surrounding area, with an added desire to spread the gospel to every nation, every tribe, every language, before the throne.
